When using Google Drive with the AODocs Smartbar extension, you can convert Microsoft Office files in Secured Folder libraries to Google files.
This feature is available to users with edit rights.
1. Open your library in Google Drive.
2. Select the file you want to convert from the list of documents.
3. Open the More actions menu and select Convert to Google Docs.
4. A pop-up opens where you can choose the destination folder for the converted document: either My Drive or The current folder. You can also delete the original file if required.
5. Press Convert.
The Google file is created at the location you selected.
Note: The document created is a new document. The properties and the workflow state of the original file are not copied.
